Best Grantify Alternatives UK (2026)

Ten alternatives, sorted by what you were buying Grantify for: software to help you write, someone to write it for you, or a database to find the grant. Every price is from the provider's own site on the date above. We are one of the options, and we say where others fit better.

What are the best alternatives to Grantify?

The best Grantify alternative depends on what you were buying it for. If you want AI software and will write the application yourself, ZenGrants is built for Innovate UK and UKRI bids and costs £69 a month, or £55 billed annually, with no success fee; GrantIQ adds grant search from £39 a month with a free trial. If you want someone to write it, GrantUp quotes a fixed fee before work starts, and Tatton, formerly UK Grant Funding, publishes from £3,500 plus a 7 to 12 per cent success fee. If you only need to find grants, Grants Hub costs £19.99 a month with no commission. If you have already drafted an application, EchoGrant reviews it against the funder's criteria for a fixed £250. Grantify itself publishes no price, its fees are non-refundable, and its Smart Grant pages still sell a scheme that closed in January 2025.

If you want software to help you write it

ZenGrants is the closest like-for-like replacement for Grantify's platform, minus the human adviser. Pro is £69 a month (£55 billed annually) for three active projects and ten full drafts a month; Max is £99 (£79 annually) for ten projects and thirty drafts. No success fee, no equity, no published free trial. It is run by a Delaware company and stores data in London. See our ZenGrants review.

GrantIQ is the pick if you also need to find the grant: it combines search with drafting, has a free plan, starts at £39 a month and offers a 14-day trial without a card. FundGenius gives a free two-minute eligibility check against Innovate UK, Horizon Europe and EIC grants but does not publish its paid tiers.

If you want someone to write it for you

GrantUp writes Innovate UK and NIHR applications, mainly for life-sciences and deep-tech companies, for a fixed fee quoted before work starts. The standard route takes no percentage of the award; its retainer and no-win-no-fee options do. See our GrantUp review.

Tatton, which now trades under that name rather than UK Grant Funding, is unusual in publishing its prices: from £3,500 plus a 7 to 12 per cent success fee, from £0 plus 10 to 15 per cent on approval, or a retainer from £1,495 a month plus 8 per cent. GrantTree charges a setup fee plus a success fee calculated on the entire award, and its terms say the invoiced fee is not refundable. RedKnight Consultancy covers bid writing, retained consultancy and claims management, and publishes no prices. For fourteen consultancies side by side, see the best grant writing consultants in the UK.

If you only need to find the right grant

Grants Hub searches business and charity funders for £19.99 a month including VAT, or £12.99 for a one-off report, and takes no commission. GrantFinder, from Idox, is the database councils and advisers use, from £1,020 a year. FundRobin is workflow software for teams managing several applications, from £49 a month. All three leave the writing to you. For free sources, see our guide to UK grant databases.

If you have already written it

Many Grantify customers report that they did most of the writing themselves. If that is where you are, paying again for writing is the expensive option. EchoGrant's £250 Full Assessment scores a drafted application against each of the funder's published criteria and returns written feedback on the gaps and what to change, with no success fee. It is not drafting software; if you want help producing the first draft, ZenGrants or GrantIQ fit better.

Why people look for an alternative

From Grantify's own site and terms, checked on 12 October 2026: its pricing page returns a page-not-found error, its fees are set in each client's order form and are non-refundable once paid, the commission survives a reduced award, and its Smart Grant pages still describe a scheme that closed to new applications in January 2025 as open. Customers on Trustpilot and UK forums add upfront fees they felt were not made clear and how much writing they still did themselves. The detail, with sources, is in our Grantify review.

Questions people ask

What is the best alternative to Grantify in the UK?

It depends what you were buying Grantify for. For self-serve AI drafting with a published price, ZenGrants costs £69 a month or £55 a month billed annually, with no success fee. For someone to write the application, GrantUp quotes a fixed fee before work starts, and Tatton publishes from £3,500 plus a 7 to 12 per cent success fee. For finding grants, Grants Hub costs £19.99 a month. For a review of an application you have already written, EchoGrant charges £250. Prices checked 12 October 2026.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Grantify?

Almost certainly, though Grantify publishes no price to compare against. UK customers have reported quotes of about £4,000 to £5,000 upfront plus a 3 to 3.5 per cent commission. A year of ZenGrants Pro billed annually is £662, GrantIQ starts at £39 a month, and Grants Hub at £19.99 a month. None of those charges a success fee. The trade-off is that software does not give you a human adviser.

Which Grantify alternatives do not charge a success fee?

ZenGrants, Grants Hub (“0% commission”), GrantFinder and EchoGrant charge no success fee. GrantUp charges none on its standard fixed-fee route but does on its Unlimited retainer and its no-win-no-fee option. Tatton and GrantTree both charge success fees, and Tatton publishes its rates of 7 to 15 per cent.

Can any Grantify alternative still get me a Smart Grant?

No. Innovate UK Smart Grants closed to new applications on 22 January 2025 and no round has opened since. Grantify’s Smart Grant pages still described the scheme as open on 12 October 2026. Any provider worth paying should point you to what is open now: sector-specific Innovate UK competitions and the Growth Catalyst programme.
